Bio

Born in Worcester in 1974, and during the early 1980s moving to the West then East coasts of Scotland, Bill was indoctrinated into the art of travel at an early age. This early grounding would heavily influence his development as a photographer. After leaving higher education, he spent a large part of the next ten years traversing the globe and it was during this period that his interest in photography evolved beyond the capture of snapshots.

Initially using photography as a vehicle to portray the evolving landscapes that were presented to him, he later sought to explore the medium in a more intimate fashion in order to examine the cultural minutiae that characterise our diverse societal vistas.

Schooled in 35mm film, the need to travel light expedited Bill's move to the digital format several years ago. This switch was further cemented by his work in photojournalism; a field he now specialises in, alongside his work with theatrical companies both local and international.
